Position Title: E-Commerce Web Developer
Position Description:
The E-commerce Web Developer will be responsible for the integration of the company systems to 8020.net, partnering with the Marketing team to deliver E-Commerce strategies within the organization. Will provide analysis, design, development, debugging - anticipating possible code conflicts, issue resolution and integration management solutions. Will analyze how visitors navigate through the company website and will make recommendations for improvements and enhancements based on this information and data. Assist Marketing team in the design and development of a user friendly web experience. Assist SEO Specialist in the design of SEO images, links and content. Other duties may be assigned/ removed as required by company.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidate must have in-depth knowledge of Web Development technologies - to include ASP.NET and JavaScript. Some experience with or ability to learn HTML5, XHTML, Jquery, AJAX and CSS preferred. Candidate will need to utilize strong database knowledge specifically SQL Server. Some knowledge in iOS and Android mobile development platforms preferred. Experience with Information Services and have ability in usage of Web Servers such as IIS a plus. Candidate must have excellent programming and problem solving skills. Must have experience in dealing with nuances of multiple browsers and their versions (IE, Firefox, Opera, chrome, etc.). Some experience with Adobe design programs: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Illustrator a plus.
Person in this position will need to have knowledge of Business to Consumer (B2C) best practices, strong e-commerce industry standards and terminology experience, and have a willingness to learn and apply their knowledge.
Attention to detail is a must, as well as strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. Highly motivated and service-oriented. Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply it wisely. Strong interpersonal skills. Good listener and flexible personality. Project Management skills are a plus. Requires significant periods of sitting and walking; requires stooping, squatting, kneeling, and reaching, may require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires normal vision range, Must read and speak fluent English. Internal candidates must have less than 5 points and/or maintain excellent attendance.
